Me (vehemently): I’d NEVER be that kind of woman who’s comfortable being taken care of . I feel like I’m less of a person for it. Why can’t I get my own stuff and not have to rely on a man?
Her (wisely): So, do you despise those kind of women?
Me: OF COURSE!
Her: What makes them so despicable?
Me: *stumped*
I’ve decided to put myself out there and be ‘taken care of’. Yes, no more splitting the bill, no more refusing you to put fuel in my car, heck buy me a car if you want. Let’s see how this works. Meet Despicable Me.
hehehehehe… despicable carlo, eventually you will wonder why you resisted so much for so long.
Stick to your guns, Carlo, don’t become a sell-out! Don’t conform, don’t lose your uniqueness, because you’ll lose your respect too. If you lose your stance and start allowing guys to buy you fuel and pay the bills, it also means you’ll bow to their demands, if you know what i mean. I’ll never be comfortable being taken care of. Maybe when i do finally get married, but even then, we help out each other, but not the other having to depend on the other completely.
Oh please Estella, respect is overated. Carlo milk it for what its worth, when your shelf life is over then you can consider taking care of yourself.
So how is it working out?
